Drum Lessons at Rhythm Base

We’re proud to announce that renowned Scottish drum tutor Gary Montgomery will be teaching exclusively at Rhythm Base.

Gary has been active on the Glasgow music scene for many years now and has established himself as a pro teacher.

His drumming influences include Jeff Porcaro and Gary Novak, while his teaching method is heavily influenced by drum tutor to-the-stars Gary Chaffee.

He is no stranger to major drum events having performed with Drums of Black Bottle at the Modern Drummer Festival in 2001 alongside such names as Gary Novak, Cindy Blackman and Virgil Donati.

Gary has also graced the stage at the Montreal Drum Festival and at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) - the largest percussion event in the world.

Between Gary and Rhythm Base staff member Chris Whitehouse, Rhythm Base can now offer an unrivalled standard of tuition catering for all levels of player.

Lessons are available six days a week with either Gary or Chris and are on a one-to-one basis in our Mapex and Paiste sponsored teaching room.
