The snare drum is the keystone of any drummer's sound. At some point in the musical journey, the player will embark on a search for the perfect drum to enhance their sound. With that player in mind, Tama created the Sound Lab Project series.
Tama SLP 14x5in Super Aluminium Snare
This drum features a thicker Aluminum 1.6mm shell with a uniquely wide internal 15mm flanged edge. Add to that a centre ridge and new Sound Arc Hoops, and the vintage style sound is enhanced by a new layer of crispness and sustain. It's also very powerful, which is a characteristic not typically found in other generic aluminum snare drums.
